Talc is a naturally occurring mineral, mined from the earth, composed of magnesium, silicon, oxygen, and hydrogen. Chemically, talc is a hydrous magnesium silicate with a chemical formula of Mg3Si4O10(OH)2. 
Talc has many uses in cosmetics and other personal care products. For example, it may be used to absorb moisture, to prevent caking, to make facial makeup opaque, or to improve the feel of a product.  

Main application: 

White Talc is mostly used in Baby powder and other cosmetic and beauty product due to its high moisture absorbtion characteristic. 
Green and Grey talc is mostly used in isolations and insulation products including roofing isolation.

Detailed descri​ption:

Ordinary talc: 

This type of talc is very suitable for the production of Roofing isolation and insulation products. Which is produced in the form of green talc and gray talc. This type of talc is the most economic type of talc supplied by Abwab minerals.    

White talc: 

This type of talc is lighter and whiter than ordinary talc and because of these properties, it is suitable for dyeing, agriculture, cable making, casting, health and cosmetics (pancakes, cream powder and baby powder) and etc. 

White talc is produced form of 400 mesh and 2500 mesh.     
The classification of white talc is as follows: 
- Light talc with a specific weight of about 3gr / cm 700-500 in the form of 400 to 2500 mesh powder    
- White talc in the form of 400 to 2500 mesh powder   
- Super white talc in the form of powder 2000 to 2500 mesh    
- Soap white talc (high magnesium - very low oil absorption) in the form of 2500 mesh powder    
- Anti-acid talc in the form of 400 mesh and 2500 mesh powder  




Talc Specifications: 

The purer the talc (according to mineral vein analysis), the whiter it is.

In the analysis of talc, the percentage of magnesium, the percentage of silica and the percentage of impurities, especially iron oxide, are of particular importance. 
Generally, the lower the amount of iron impurities in the talc soil, the whiter the color of the micronized powder produced. And of course, the whiter the talc, the higher the price of talcum powder.
